Cool Art: 'How Time Slips Away' by JC Richard
'How Time Slips Away' by JC Richard, is a 10″ x 26.5″ 5 colour greyscale screenprint, that is on sale today (Friday, August 30) at 2pm EST.
This is what he has to say about the print:
Solitary adventures are nice to have every so often, but without a companion to share them with (human or otherwise), sublime moments like this one just don't seem to mean as much...
This scene is dedicated to a friend who has been constantly either underfoot or at my side for 13 years now. He's an old man by canine standards, but still the best pup there ever was..

Off On My Hols, I'll Be Back In A Week!
I'll be jetting off on my hols today for a week of sun, sand, sea and fun in Ibiza! Been going there for the last few years now. Of course, this means I won't be able to post to this blog when I'm away, in fact I won't be near a computer for most of the time either - it'll be torture, but I'll keep calm and think of Ibiza!
When I'm there I will be posting photos up on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter during the week and once I'm back home in a week, I'll go through all the rest of the photos and videos I'll post more to Flickr and my video channels on YouTube and Vimeo.
So I'll leave you with some videos below that I put together from my trip to Ibiza last year.
See you in a week!

Not much details out there yet, but I think I'll be keeping tabs on this!

Happy Birthday, Hugo Gernsback - Founder Of 'Amazing Stories'
Today marks the 129th anniversary of the birth of Hugo Gernsback (August 16, 1884 – August 19, 1967), one of the most influential figures in the history of science fiction.
He's best known, in April 1926, for launching the first magazine fully-dedicated to science fiction, Amazing Stories, the debut issue featured works by HG Wells, Jules Verne and Edgar Allen Poe and although Gernsback lost control of the publishing rights in 1929, the magazine was in publication up until 2005, and has been resurrected online since 2012.
Gernsback was noted for his sharp (and sometimes dodgy) business practices, and for paying his writers extremely low fees or not paying them at all. HP Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith referred to him as 'Hugo the Rat'.
He is also credited as first coining the phrase ‘scientifiction‘, which would later become the term we know and love. His definition of the term being - "a charming romance interwoven with scientific fact and prophetic vision."

The Hugo Awards or 'Hugos', the annual achievement awards presented at the World Science Fiction Convention, were named after him, Gernsback himself received a special Hugo Award in 1960 as 'The Father of Magazine Science Fiction'.
In honour of the birth of one of the most influential figures in the history of science fiction, and as I totally love the artwork, here are a few of my favourite covers from 'Amazing Stories', starting with the very first issue.
What If 'Star Wars: Episode II' Was Good
I'm liking this hypothetical of what if about 'Attack Of The Clones. I totally get the swapping of Naboo for Alderaan (forgotten detail he intended to mention for Episode I), and the whole Obi Wan / Anakin bromance thing too.
I've often felt that the pacing of the movie just fell a bit flat, especially the sequences on Naboo and Coruscant. Michael Barryte of Belated Media's shake up certainly addresses that point and a lot more. Would have loved to see this version instead.
You can see what he'd change from Episode I here.
