This video traces the 100 year visual history of John Carter from its first publication as a serial in 1912 under the original title 'Under The Moons Of Mars' (later retitled 'A Princess Of Mars when the serial was published as a novel), and the art of Frank Frazetta, to the 2012 Disney film directed by Andrew Stanton and starring Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Haden Church, and Willem Dafoe.
