I love the art from the pulp fiction sci-fi and action adventure magazines and novels of the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of the cover art and stories were so fantastic, featuring macho men, femme fatales and gizmos and adventures that were out of this world. And out of that era iconic characters like
John Carter,
Tarzan,
Flash Gordon,
Buck Rogers, Conan The Barbarian, Zorro, Solomon Kane, Fu Manchu, The Shadow and
Doc Savage first appeared.
Check out these faux Doc Savage covers by Keith Wilson, featuring the Man of Bronze in adventures with other iconic horror, fantasy and sci-fi characters based on the original Bantam book cover art by
James Bama and
Bob Larkin.
