I so agree with this video from GoodBadFlicks, about how movie posters have evolved over time… and how boring and generic they have now become.
I blame the movie posters of the 1990's of starting the current trend. Go here and check for yourself and go here for even more proof of how generic movie posters are today.
Bring back the illustrated posters of the 1980's and before, a time when brilliant artists like Drew Struzan, Bob Peak, John Alvin and more created some very iconic posters! How many official movie posters nowadays would you hang up on your wall? I'm guessing not many. The awesome alternative movie posters from today's crop of artists are a different story though.
