ThinkSpace Gallery presents 'Knots', a solo art exhibition by João Ruas, featuring new artworks and studies that combine ancient references with the contemporary, to create timeless visual mythologies, exploring the universal themes of transition, power, strength, transformation and loss with an empathetic tenor. His haunting works are inspired by the age-old function of myth as an antiquated system of attributing meaning to natural and human chaos.
The opening reception is Saturday December 14 from 6-9pm PT at ThinkSpace Gallery, 6009 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232 in the Main Room, with João also in attendance.
