The winners of the 2020 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize have been announced.
The Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize celebrates diversity and excellence in the representational visual arts, in all static mediums including Traditional Art media, Digital Art media, and Photographic media; and all genres from realism and hyper-realism, to pop surrealism and lowbrow. The Prize seeks to inspire creatives from around the world to pursue a life and career in the arts, and to help careers grow through increased exposure of their work to the global arts community.
The winners in each category get to have their artworks exhibited alongside the best contemporary artists in a Beautiful Bizarre Magazine curated exhibition, 'Midnight Gallery', at Modern Eden Gallery in October 2020, win cash and product prizes, editorial in Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, advertising packages, and receive worldwide exposure.
The jury panel for the awards included Hannah Yata (Traditional Art), Rafael Grassetti (Digital Art), Kate MacDowell (Sculpture), Ellen Rogers (Photography), representatives from awards sponsors INPRNT, iCanvas, Yasha Young Projects, and ZBrush, Museum Gallery Director Rachael Parsons of the New England Regional Art Museum; Directors of Modern Eden Gallery Kim Larson and Bradley Platz, and Beautiful Bizarre Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Danijela Krha Purssey and Co-Founder Richard Purssey. Over 17,000 public votes contributed to the Winner of the People’s Choice Award.
