Born out of a love of pop culture and art, the aim of 'The Geeky Nerfherder' has always been to showcase inspiring, cool art and pop culture geekery; whether it's poster art, comic art, book and magazine cover art or art from the latest new contemporary exhibitions, and the artists that create them.
The Geeky Nerfherder is also a one man band, just me, Andy B, and has certainly come a long way since the
first blog post in 2011.
Even after the many years that the blog has been active, it still continues to be a lot of fun to curate. Scouring the internet & social media for the latest cool art, print releases and gallery shows; showcasing art from some of my favourite artists in my long running 'Artist Spotlight' series; starting each day with the #ArtOfTheDay post - something random from the Geeky Nerfherder image archives; and posting the occasional reviews of the books and movies I read and watch too.
I also sometimes post bonus content on my socials, such as videos of my nerdy day outs to Comic Cons or other geeky events on the Youtube channel; the #OnThisDay feature where I post some of my favourite films, books, comics and shows that were first released or published on a particular date; and any nerdy #NewSwag that I add to my collection as well. These accounts continue to gain new followers, with the number of followers now in the thousands!
