Becky Cloonan Signing At Gosh! Comics In London
Gosh! will have Becky Cloonan signing in their shop at 1 Berwick Street, London, W1F 0DR on Monday April 25 from 6-7pm.
Becky Cloonan has a prolific career as a writer and artist, including her self-published short stories The Mire, Demeter, and Wolves, collected (now o/p but soon to be re-collected) as By Chance or Providence. She earned the distinction of becoming the first woman to draw Batman on the main title since the series debuted in 1939, and has also worked as artist on series such as Conan, Harley Quinn, Northlanders, Buffy, American Virgin, The Fabulous Lives of the Killjoys, American Virgin, and Demo (nominated for 2 Eisners).
She's also a cracking writer, working on the brilliant YA series Gotham Academy for DC, and Southern Cross with Image Comics. Her most recently announced project is as lead writer on the new Punisher series for Marvel Comics with artist Steve Dillion, to be released in May.

2016 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award Nominees Announced
The nominees for the 2016 Annual Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, given for creative achievement in American comic books, often referred to as the Comics Industry's equivalent of the Oscar Awards, have been announced.
The nominees, chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of judges, reflect the wide range of material being published in comics and graphic novel form today, from superheroes, to nursery rhymes and high school angst and pulp fiction.
The awards will be presented in a special ceremony during this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
