My Alternative John Carter Blu-Ray Covers

Now that I've got my hands on the John Carter blu-ray (one of my favourite films of 2012), let's just say that I'm not impressed by the original box art, just as I wasn't impressed by the official promotional posters at the time of the cinema release.

There are a few alternative covers out on the internets, and so I've had a go myself and created a few of my own covers, using some of the brilliant fan art by some incredibly talented artists as a base - some I've already posted here.

If anyone fancies some alternative box art for their John Carter blu-rays, click the covers to embiggen, but click the links for the full resolution jpeg images, in both UK and US flavours.

    Thank you for making these covers the appropriate Mars Red color! Recently I looked for this title on the Redbox machine, skimming new releases, uncertain if it had come out yet, only spotting it in the corner of my eye as I was leaving. The cover on the Redbox screen was BLUE and blended in with every other movie on the market! Talk about marketing either making or breaking a film's sales. A red cover really would have helped this movie to stand out!

      Exactly, its almost as if Disney wanted it to blend in with every other DVD/Bluray. Don't get me started on the posters!!! Covers had to be red, couldn't be any other colour really!

    Amazing covers my friend. I am definatly using these I hate the Disney cover. make the book cover is great for covering the slip-over sleeve.

    But can you make the first 2 covers without the worn out look?

      Glad you like them. It does seem to be the way these days with awful box art that we're forced to come up with something better!
