This Saturday,
Spoke Art presents 'Otaku Obscura', the debut solo show of Maryland-based print artist
Joshua Budich.
The exhibit is a tribute to the some of the greatest Japanese animated films of all time; 'Akira', 'My Neighbor Totoro', 'Neon Genesis Evangelion', 'Ghost in the Shell', 'Princess Mononoke', and 'Cowboy Bebop', and Joshua has managed to create a wide ranging and inspired homage to the diverse history of the medium. He'll have 28 new prints in the show, each a signed & numbered, limited-edition of 100.
The opening is Saturday, October 4 from 6-10pm at Spoke Art, 816 Sutter St, San Francisco, California 94109, and will be on view until October 24. Joshua will also be in attendance at the opening and the first 100 in line will get one of his 6" x 6" screenprints for free!
Online sales of prints from the show will be from Monday October 6 at the
Spoke Art online store. Follow them on Twitter
@Spoke_Art for the on sale announcement.
