Cool Art: ThinkSpace Gallery presents 'The Gilded Age'

Thinkspace Gallery presents 'The Gilded Age', a new art exhibition featuring new works from Aaron Horkey, Esao Andrews and João Ruas.

"The Gilded Age presents three exceptional artists – two of whom are hand-picked by the inimitable Horkey – whose respective work, though entirely unique and contemporary, recalls many of the sensibilities shared by the late 19th and early 20th century return to craftsmanship, narrative and ornamentation. Particularly relevant given our entrenchment in an age of digital reign and impermanent culture, The Gilded Age betrays a nostalgic yearning for the maximalism of the human hand."

There will be various 'The Gilded Age' editions released, and ThinkSpace will be handing out randomly numbered tickets every 30 minutes from 9am on the opening morning until 12 noon. The number on the ticket will correspond to the enamel pin sets (#1-100), folio sets (#200-250) and/or individual screen prints, guaranteeing first choice at those corresponding numbers, and there is a strict limit of one per person on each edition.

The 'Gilded Age' editions are:

• A folio set in a limited edition of 250 featuring a 12.75" x 12.75" varnished giclée print from each artist in the exhibition, housed in a deluxe folio similar to the recent 'Vacvvm' set. Three prints total, only available as a set.

• An individual screen print from each artist in a limited edition of 200. Each sold separately and of varying size.

• An enamel pin set featuring a deluxe soft enamel pin from each artist ranging in size from 1.25" to 1.5". Available as an edition of 100 and only as a set of three.

Opening reception is Saturday September 12 6-9pm at ThinkSpace Gallery, 6009 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232 with all three artists will be attending. 'The Gilded Age' will be on display until October 3.
