#CoolArt: 'Arch Enemies' by Meggs

'Arch Enemies' by Meggs, is a mini print set from 1xRun, based on four original pieces, painted on wood-mounted original target posters and exhibited with Inner State Gallery at the 2015 NYC Scope Art Fair.

Set of four 8" x 10" Archival Pigment Prints on 290gsm Moab Rag fine art paper in a signed and numbered limited edition of 100 for $75.

The four prints are packaged within a screen printed, authentic 1970’s ‘bronze-era’ comic book spread and packaged in an 'Arch Enemies' series brown paper envelope, reminiscent of the paper bags comic shops used to use.

#CoolArt: 'Aquaman: No Sea, No Life!' by Meggs

Celebrating World Oceans Day (June 8), 'Aquaman: No Sea, No Life!' by Meggs, is a new print release from PangeaSeed, and is part of their 2016 print series 'Sea of Change: The Year of Living Dangerously - Vol. 2', with proceeds raised through the sale of this print going to support PangeaSeed's ongoing effort to help save our seas through ARTivism.

It's an 18" x 24" screenprint on 100lbs Cougar white paper in a 6 colour Regular edition of 35, and a 2 colour Variant edition of 20.

It goes on sale Wednesday June 8 at 12pm PDT.

Cool Art: Street Art From The 'Murals In The Market' Festival In Detroit

From September 17-25, more than 45 new murals were created as part of  1xRUN’s 'Murals In The Market' festival in Detroit’s Historic Eastern Market district.

45 local and international artists were invited to the city's first mural festival, painting massive walls with waves of colour and cultivating a contagious artistic energy that transformed the city into an epicenter of the contemporary public art movement.

Events included during the 9 day street art festival included intimate talks with legendary New York City documentary photographer Martha Cooper, progressive Parisian street artist Kashink as well as New Zealand’s Askew plus a Featured Artist Exhibition at Inner State Gallery. Artists also participated in the Detroit’s Slow Roll bike ride taking a unique look at the city in one of it’s newest weekly traditions, and took in the sights and sounds of Detroit’s finest musicians at TV Lounge.

Cool Art: 1xRun & Inner State Gallery presents 'Murals In The Market' Print Series

1xRun and Inner State Gallery presents 'Murals In The Market' print series exhibition, featuring 40 world-class local and international artists.

'Murals In The Market' will transform Detroit’s Historic Eastern Market district into the epicenter of the city’s burgeoning public art movement with dozens of large scale murals created over nine days. 20 local Detroit artists will be joined by 20 visiting domestic and international artists to create large scale works throughout Detroit for two smashing exhibitions including a massive print suite that explores the new contemporary art movement.

Kicking off the print series are prints by Glenn Barr, Ron Zakrin and Meggs, then each day at 12pm EST, 1xRun will be releasing more prints.
