Cool Art: Hero Complex Gallery presents 'King Of Cult' Celebrating Roger Corman and Joe Dante

This Saturday, Hero Complex Gallery presents 'King Of Cult', celebrating legendary directors Roger Corman and Joe Dante.

HCG will also present a double-feature screening for both directors at The New Beverly Theater on Friday night, May 23, from 7.30pm featuring Joe Dante’s 'Matinee' (1993) and Roger Corman’s 'The Masque of the Red Death' (1964), and the exhibition opens on Saturday night, May 24 from 7pm at the HCG at 2020 South Robertson Blvd., Studio D, Los Angeles, CA 90034. Both directors will attend the screenings and the art show opening night, which will include a Q&A hosted by Dana Gould in between the film screenings and exclusive signing opportunities plus original props from their classic films will be on show at the art show as well.

Cool Art: Bottleneck Gallery presents 'It Came From 1984' Art Show

There are some awesome films that will be celebrating their 30th anniversaries this year! The Terminator, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Beverly Hills Cop, Gremlins, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Last Starfighter, The Never Ending Story, Romancing The Stone and The Karate Kid to name a few and Bottleneck Gallery will be celebrating with a whole art show devoted to the movies of 1984.

'It Came From 1984', curated by Chogrin, opens from February 7 at 7pm at the Bottleneck Gallery, 60 Broadway, Brooklyn, New York. The show will be on display for a few weeks and any remaining prints from the opening reception will go on sale online Saturday February 8 at the Bottleneck Gallery website.
