The 43rd Annual Saturn Awards Winners Announced

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films have revealed the winners of the 43rd Annual Saturn Awards.

The Saturn Awards are dedicated to honouring the finest in genre entertainment in film, television and home entertainment.

2016 Nebula Awards Winners Announced

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America have announced the winners for this year’s Nebula Awards for works published in 2016, along with the Ray Bradbury and Andre Norton Awards.

Each year, the organization’s members vote on which stories they consider to be the best novel, novella, novelette, short story and Young Adult story in the genre, as well as the best outstanding dramatic presentation.

The 2016 SFWA Nebula Awards Finalists Announced

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America have announced the finalists for this year’s Nebula Awards, along with contenders for the Ray Bradbury and Andre Norton Awards.

Each year, the organization’s members vote on which stories they consider to be the best novel, novella, novelette, short story and Young Adult story in the genre, as well as the best outstanding dramatic presentation.

The Nebula Awards Ceremony will be held from Thursday, May 18 through Sunday, May 21 at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center.

2016 Books Are My Bag Readers Award Winners Announced


The Books Are My Bag Readers Awards were announced November 24 at a ceremony at Foyles, Charing Cross Road, London. They are the only book awards with shortlists curated by bookshops. And the only major awards voted for by booklovers.

Five shortlists were chosen by booksellers across the UK & Ireland: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biography & Autobiography, Children’s and Breakthrough Author. A special Readers Choice Award; voted for entirely by booklovers; and a Beautiful Book Award; voted for entirely by booksellers, complete the list of awards.

2016 World Fantasy Award Winners Announced

2016 World Fantasy Award winners were announced during the World Fantasy Convention, October 27-30, 2016 in Columbus Ohio.

The Lifetime Achievement Awards, presented annually to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service to the fantasy field, go to David Geddes Hartwell and Andrzej Sapkowski.

2016 Dragon Awards Winners

The inaugural Dragon Awards were presented at a ceremony on Sunday September 4 2016 at Dragon*Con in Atlanta.

The award, a blown glass representation of fire inside a transparent teardrop, representing the passion of creating art and influencing others, is a program of fan-chosen awards to recognize outstanding achievement in science fiction and fantasy literature, comics, gaming and filmed entertainment, and was introduced as part of Dragon*Con’s 30th Anniversary celebration.

#CoolArt: 2016 'Into The Pixel' Video Game Art Collection Revealed



The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) and the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced the 14 winning pieces of the world-renowned 2016 Into the Pixel (ITP) collection.

Created in 2004, the annual ITP art exhibit honours video game artists who continue to push the interactive entertainment art form forward.

Co-produced by the ESA and AIAS, the 2016 ITP collection will be shown for the first time at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games and related products, from June 14-16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
