2019 Dragon Awards Finalists Announced


The finalist for the 2019 Dragon Awards have been announced. The winners will announced at a ceremony during Dragon*Con 2019, August 29 - September 2 2019 in Atlanta, GA.

The Dragon Awards are a program of fan-chosen awards to recognize outstanding achievement in science fiction and fantasy literature, comics, gaming and filmed entertainment, and was introduced as part of Dragon*Con’s 30th Anniversary celebration in 2016.

#CoolArt: Bespoke Pop Culture Collectibles by 8 Bit Boutique Art

8 Bit Boutique Art is a UK based independent studio creating deluxe bespoke art, collectibles and gifts inspired by Pop Culture, Video Games, classic arcades and pinball, including:
  • 3D Shadow Box Dioramas: art is printed onto 320 gsm super glossy card using archival quality ink, and then hand cut and built up, layer upon layer, all framed inside a deep shadow box frame with mount and glass front.
  • Altered Art: digitally and physically manipulating an old vintage painting from a charity / thrift store and adding a fresh and subtle pop culture or video gaming element.
  • Framed Art inspired by the Classic coin-op arcades of the 80s and 90s, with a 3D diorama recreation of an action screen shot from the game surrounded by the original bezel surround from the game, and framed inside a 8" x 8" solid wood frame.
  • Miniature 1/12th scale models of the classic arcade cabinets and pinball machines.
