Kickstarter: The 2014 John Picacio Calendar

I love fantasy art, which you might have gathered if you browse through this blog, and after pledging last year's Kickstarter funded calendar from award winning artist John Picacio, I was glad to hear that he's doing another calendar for 2014!

The calendar features all-new artwork inspired by Loteria, the classic Mexican game of chance and will be a full-colour 12” x 12” wall calendar, with the interior layout designed at a larger than average 12" x 16", which means there'll be more artwork on show!

The calendar, as with last year's, will only available through this Kickstarter project (of which over half of the $15,000 target has already been pledged!). The calendar’s cover will be printed on 12 pt. premium paper stock, with a satin aqueous-coated finish, and the interior pages will be printed on 100# text. All calendars will be shipped in December (add $10 if outside the US), so as I've now pledged to this Kickstarter, hopefully I'll get mine in time for 2014.

Go to the 2014 John Picacio Calendar Kickstarter page to pledge.

Check out the calendar layout featuring the Chesley Award-winning cover artwork for 'La Sirena' below.

Awesome 2013 Calendar From Artist John Picacio

John Picacio, this year’s winner of the Hugo Award for Best Professional Artist, and the artist for the best-selling 2012 George R. R. Martin / A Song of Ice and Fire Calendar, is releasing this gorgeous looking 2013 calendar which features twelve of his best science fiction & fantasy cover artworks.

The calendar will be a full-colour 12” x 12” 2013 wall calendar and only available through this Kickstarter project (which has nearly doubled it's original goal of $12,000). The calendar’s cover will be printed on 12 pt. premium paper stock, with a satin aqueous-coated finish, and the interior pages will be printed on 100# text. All calendars will be shipped in December (add $10 if outside the US), so as I've now pledged to this Kickstarter, hopefully I'll get mine in time for 2013.
