I've already posted about the teaser concept trailer for this project from Gionata Medeot and Mattia Ferraro, who aim to revisit all of the most memorable scenes from the 1997 classic Playstation game, and make them available for free on their YouTube channel. Season one will be 5-6 episodes of about 15 minutes each.
They have also secured the rights to the music from the game, and have so far cast the roles of both Barret Wallace (Mars Crain) and Tifa Lockhart (Margie Cox) – but it needs your help. You can now pledge your support to the series on Kickstarter.
Shinra Productions is hoping to raise $400,000. They also have a Red Bubble page where you can buy posters, shirts, hoodies, stickers, mugs, phone cases with more items to come, and all proceeds from these will go towards the cost of the production and promotion of the web series.
At the time of writing it’s raised just over $3,500, and with 29 days to go, it’s going to need a lot more help to reach it's goal.
Go here to check out the Kickstarter project.

'Dora The Explorer And The Destiny Medallion' Web Series
Last year College Humor made for a fake trailer for a live-action “Dora the Explorer” movie.
The response from that trailer resulted in them actually producing a 3-part web series called 'Dora The Explorer And The Destiny Medallion', starring Ariel Winter of “Modern Family”!
The first webisode will debut on March 19. The second episode will air on March 26 and the final episode will be on April 2.

Help Make Final Fantasy VII: The Web Series A Possiblity
The story so far; Over twelve months ago, a young Italian director by the name of Gionata Medeot; tired of waiting for Final Fantasy VII remakes and a decent telling of the tale, decided to team up with Mattia Ferraro, and bring together some of his friends and fellow FFVII fans together to discuss the possibility of making a movie adaptation of the much loved and best-selling videogame. The result was this cool trailer below.
With the positive reaction from the teaser, which was made with a team of consisting of under 20 people and cost $1,200 for just 2 minutes of footage, the idea of a movie was replaced by a 5-episode web series, so that the story could be explored in depth & detail.
Now, they need your help. With a Kickstarter campaign coming soon, they have a Red Bubble page where you can buy posters, shirts, hoodies, stickers, mugs, phone cases with more items to come, and all proceeds from these will go towards the cost of the production and promotion of the web series, so you’ll be directly contributing to the web series. New Webcomic: 'Perils On Planet X'
I love my pulp science fiction and this could be a webcomic to watch out for if you're a fan too!
'Perils On Planet X', written by Christopher Mills and illustrated by Gene Gonzales, is a swashbuckling adventure on a lost planet – classic space opera in the Edgar Rice Burroughs (John Carter) and Alex Raymond (Flash Gordon) mould, revived for a new millennium!
They plan to serialize the entire graphic novel (around a hundred pages or so) online, with a new page being posted every Friday, and then collect it in a print volume upon its completion.
Join Colonel Donovan Hawke of Terra as he travels through time and space to the ancient emerald world of Xylos – home of vicious reptilian predators, ruthless strato-pirates, beautiful princesses, and innumerable fantastic dangers!
The adventure begins on February 1st, 2013!
