Cool Art: Mondo's Limited Edition Vinyl Soundtrack Cover Art For 'Oblivion' by Kilian Eng

Mondo is releasing a limited edition vinyl edition of the 'Oblivion' Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring new music by Anthony Gonzalez of M83 and Joseph Trapanese (TRON: Uprising, The Raid: Redemption). The awesome artwork for the cover and interior comes from Swedish artist, and Mondo regular, Kilian Eng.

This limited edition gatefold double vinyl soundtrack album will be available from Mondo on April 26 for $25 and also available for retail sale from May 28.

The album score is a blend of the traditional M83 electronic sound combined with sweeping orchestral elements (which sounds similiar to Daft Punk's score to 'Tron: Legacy', which was also directed by 'Oblivion' director Joseph Kosinski), along with a brand new song by M83 featuring Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfor which will be used during the film's end titles.

Listen To The 'Oblivion' Soundtrack by Joseph Trapanese and Anthony Gonzales

The whole of the 'Oblivion' soundtrack by Joseph Trapanese and Anthony Gonzales is now available to listen online.

In 'Oblivion', Tom Cruise stars as Jack Harper, a drone repairman inhabiting a war-torn, post-apocalyptic Earth. His routine existence is interrupted, leading him into the hands of Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman), who leads an underground and previously unknown colony of humans. This sets off a chain of events in which he begins to question what he thinks is his reality.

The film, directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy) is out in cinemas on April 19. Check out the soundtrack below.

Score Soundtrack Teaser For Tom Cruise Sci-Fi Movie 'Oblivion'

I'm liking the sound of this, 'StarWaves' from the 'Oblivion' motion picture soundtrack composed by M83′Anthony Gonzalez and Joseph Trapanese (Tron: Uprising). Sounds very epic with a slow build synth track.

'Oblivion' is out in cinemas April 12 (April 19 in the US), with the soundtrack score composed by Gonzalez and Trapanese available on April 9.

Synopsis:
Tom Cruise stars in 'Oblivion', an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from the director of 'TRON: Legacy' and the producer of 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'. On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.
