Comic Book Art: The Saga Of The Swamp Thing

Continuing my look at my favourite comic books and their cover art, with DC Comics' long running series Swamp Thing.

This second series, revived by DC Comics to coincide with the 1982 Wes Craven film, ran from 1982 until 1984, and was written by Martin Pasko and saw the beginnings of Alan Moore's legendary run. It was illustrated by a variety of artists; Tom Yeates, Fred Carrillo, Bo Hampton, Stephen Bissette, with Tom Yeates, Stephen Bissette and John Totleben on cover art duties.
