#CoolArt: Haven Gallery presents 'Folklore' Group Art Exhibition

Haven Gallery presents 'Folklore', a group art exhibition of over 20 international artists that looks to the folklore of various cultures and uses inspiration from these tales to create a visual translation.

The opening reception is Saturday April 6 from 6-8pm ET at Haven Gallery, 155 Main Street, Carriage House Square, Northport, NY 11768 with exhibiting artists also in attendance.

Haven Gallery will also be exhibiting new solo exhibitions from Syd Bee (Dear Illusions), Stephanie Law (Awaken) and Yoko d’Holbachie.

The exhibitions will be on view until May 5 2019.

Cool Art: Bernie Wrightson & Steve Niles presents 'Something Spooky' At Guzu Gallery

This Halloween season Guzu Gallery (at 5000 N Lamar Blvd in Austin, TX) treats you to an exhibition of a different breed. They've called upon two masters of modern horror to help conjure up the most frightening art show imaginable - Bernie Wrightson & Steve Niles presents 'Something Spooky'. Prepare to be astounded and amazed by morbid monsters, ghastly ghouls and cadaverous creeps!

There is still time to catch the art show that opened on Friday, October 18th as it will be open through November 25th. Plus today, October 25th, at around the 3 o'clock hour (CST), the remaining artwork from the show at Guzu Gallery will be available for purchase here.

'Red Sonja' Returns To Comics

Red Sonja is back in a brand new series for Dynamite Comics this July and gets a fresh new attitude by writer Gail Simone (Batgirl, Birds of Prey) and artist Walter Geovani (Prophecy, Witchblade). This new series also features covers by the top female artists in the industry, including Nicola Scott, Amanda Conner, Fiona Staples, Jenny Frison, Colleen Doran, Stephanie Buscema and more.  Check out the various covers for the first issue below.
