Fan Made 'Doctor Who' Opening Sequence by Billy Dakiduk
New fan-made title sequence for 'Doctor Who' by Billy Dakiduk for the new Peter Capaldi era, using Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects.
"I wrote myself a brief... it's mantra was "Journey through space and time".
First section is the Doctors watch, and we fly inside. The journey through the cog-wheels end with our exit through the untempered schism. And into an escher-esque timey wimey never-ending clock face (a metaphor of time travel and the time vortex).
Our journey catapults us through the vortex into a void where the seal of Rassilon is drawn in aged metal, accompanied by the Doctor Who logo, with some subtle embellishments. The seal of Rassilon burns away, reminding us of the Doctor's disdain for the Time Lords; revealing the new Doctor's reflection in the back of the watch which then tumbles away to the black hole in the distance."

Kickstarter: 'Final Fantasy VII: The Web Series'
I've already posted about the teaser concept trailer for this project from Gionata Medeot and Mattia Ferraro, who aim to revisit all of the most memorable scenes from the 1997 classic Playstation game, and make them available for free on their YouTube channel. Season one will be 5-6 episodes of about 15 minutes each.
They have also secured the rights to the music from the game, and have so far cast the roles of both Barret Wallace (Mars Crain) and Tifa Lockhart (Margie Cox) – but it needs your help. You can now pledge your support to the series on Kickstarter.
Shinra Productions is hoping to raise $400,000. They also have a Red Bubble page where you can buy posters, shirts, hoodies, stickers, mugs, phone cases with more items to come, and all proceeds from these will go towards the cost of the production and promotion of the web series.
At the time of writing it’s raised just over $3,500, and with 29 days to go, it’s going to need a lot more help to reach it's goal.

New 'John Carter (Of Mars)' Fan Trailer
Check out this fan made trailer by Back To Barsoom on how the debut trailer for John Carter of Mars should have been like, take note Disney, if it properly setup the importance Edgar Rice Burroughs and how he inspired George Lucas to create Star Wars and James Cameron to create Avatar. In fact, the original Superman could only take huge leaps like John Carter.
In my opinion, it's yet another fan-made trailer that is much better than any the official trailers - and not a white ape in sight!
