#CoolArt: Print Club London presents 'Film4 Summer Screen' Art Exhibition at Somerset House

Back for a fifth year, the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House season has commissioned Print Club London to curate a series of contemporary screen printed film posters.

Print Club London has hand-picked an assortment of styles and artists, featuring artwork by Aleesha Nandhra, Cassandra Yap, Concepción Studios, Elliot Kruszynski, Eve Lloyd Knight, Gavin Dobson, Joe Wilson, Joseph Vass, Louis Carpenter, Lucille Clerc, Peter Strain, Poppy Chencellor, RYCA, Rose Electra Harris, Rose Stallard, Rozalina Burkova, Steve Wilson and Thomas Whitcombe. Each exhibiting artist will reimagine a poster for one of the films in this season’s programme, taking particular scenes, quotes, or characters from their selected titles as inspiration.
Each film poster will be a limited edition and exclusively available to buy for £60 from the exhibition at Somerset House and from Print Club London afterwards.

Opening reception is Wednesday August 2 from 6-9pm at The West Wing Galleries, Somerset House, and the exhibition will be open daily until late throughout the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House season, which runs from August 10 until August 23.

Print Club London has hand-picked an assortment of styles and artists, featuring artwork by Rose Blake, Claudia Borfiga, Lucille Clerc, Concepción Studios, Barry Leonard, MOL (Ministry Of Love), Ben Rider, RYCA, Rose Stallard, Peter Strain, Joseph Vass, Holly Wales, Joe Wilson, Steve Wilson and Cassandra Yap. Each exhibiting artist will reimagine a poster for one of the films in this season’s programme, taking particular scenes, quotes, or characters from their selected titles as inspiration.

Each film poster will be a limited edition and exclusively available to buy for £50 from the exhibition at Somerset House.

Opening reception is Wednesday July 29 from 6-9.30pm at Somerset House, and the exhibition will be open daily until late throughout the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House season, which runs from July 29 until August 23.

Renowned for printing, curating and dealing screen-printed artworks Print Club London has hand-picked an assortment of styles and artists, including Rose Blake, Hattie Stewart, Kate Moross, Steve Wilson, Kate Gibb and HelloVon.

Each film poster will be a limited edition and exclusively available to buy for £45 from the exhibition at Somerset House. The exhibition will be open daily until late throughout the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House season, which runs until August 25.

This month sees Print Club London launch their 'Film4 Summer Screen' art exhibition at Somerset House, with 16 new and original screen prints, inspired by the each of the films being screened this year, from some of the most talented and innovative illustrators from the UK and USA.

Some of the illustrators include Joe Wilson, Kate Gibb (creator of Chemical Brothers album artwork), Anthony Burrill, James Joyce and Michael Gillette as well as newcomers Hattie Stewart and Serge Seidlitz.

All the prints are produced in limited editions of 200, signed by the artist and available to buy at £40 each. The exhibition will be open daily until late throughout the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House season, which runs until August 23, they also ship internationally.

Somerset House and Film4 have teamed up with Print Club London to curate a screen printed poster exhibition in the newly opened West Wing Galleries.

This special collaboration will see some of the most talented and innovative illustrators from the UK, Europe and USA design and produce 16 new and original screen prints, inspired by the each of the films screened this year, with Joe Wilson's Akira Kurosawa inspired 'Throne Of Blood' being one of them.

All the prints will be produced in limited editions of 200, signed by the artist and available to buy at £40 each, and as each print is being made to order, expect delivery to be up to two weeks.

The exhibition will be open daily until late throughout the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House season.
