Cool Art: 'Everyone Turns' by Adam Pobiak

'Everyone Turns' by Adam Pobiak.

These two prints are part of the Hero Complex Gallery 'The Walking Dead' art show that opens tonight in Los Angeles and runs through until October 26.

They are both 16" x 36" 4 colour prints and both are in a limited edition of 50.
"Not a character Just a random girl, I zombified.
That’s one of the things that freaks me out about the show, just EVERYBODY turns into a zombie, so that’s what the whole piece is about. An inevitable shitty fate, that no one can escape, no matter how nice or good they are." - Adam Pobiak
Any prints not sold at the show Friday will go up for sale online Saturday October 12 at a random time between 9AM-1PM PDT. Follow them on Twitter @HeroComplexArt to find out when.

'Butterfly Gate' by Benjamin Read & Chris Wildgoose

I really enjoyed their previous graphic novel, 'Porcelain: A Gothic Fairytale' (it's well worth a read!), and the creators of that book, Benjamin Read and Chris Wildgoose, are back with a new book, 'Butterfly Gate'
"A Brother and Sister leave our world and its rules behind, journeying into legend through the Butterfly Gate, where every step they take will come at a price.
Butterfly Gate follows the story of two siblings who, after throwing themselves headlong into another world, must face the brutal reality that lies beyond and find their place amidst an empire built after a revolution against the Gods."
An ongoing, episodic, Sci-Fi odyssey, 'Butterfly Gate' is also a silent comic, conveying the story purely through its imagery. After reading the preview, I look forward to reading this!

Limited UK indie editions of Butterfly Gate, (as well as Knight & Dragon, by Matt Gibbs and Bevis Musson), will be available Wednesday, November 20th 2013 from supporting UK comic shops, such as Page 45 (Nottingham), Travelling Man (Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and York), Gosh! (London), Orbital Comics (London), Chaos City Comics (St. Albans), Destination Venus (Harrogate), Paradox Comics (Poole), and OK Comics (Leeds).

Both books will also be debuting at this year's Thought Bubble Comic Art Festival in Leeds on November 23rd/24th, with Benjamin, Bevis, Chris, and Matt in attendance. In addition, Chris and Bevis will be sketching at the Improper Books table in New Dock Hall.

Launch Trailer For 'The Wolf Among Us'

Based on one my favourite comic book series, 'Fables', Telltale Games have released a launch trailer for episodic games based on the series.
'The Wolf Among Us' is a five episode series from the creators of the 2012 Game of the Year: 'The Walking Dead'. Based on 'Fables' (DC Comics/Vertigo), an award-winning comic book series, it is an often violent, mature and hard-boiled thriller where the characters and creatures of myth, lore and legend are real and exist in our world.
As Bigby Wolf – THE big bad wolf in human form – you will discover that the brutal, bloody murder of a Fable is just a taste of things to come, in a game series where your every decision can have enormous consequences.
• Your choices matter: it’s not only WHAT you choose to do that will affect how your story plays out, but WHEN you choose to do it
• A mature and gritty take on characters from fairytales, legends and folklore who have escaped into our world. These are not the characters you’d see on a little child’s lunchbox.
• Play as Bigby Wolf: formerly the most feared monster among the Fables, now Sheriff of Fabletown and protector of those he used to hunt. He must restrain the beast within if he is to earn the trust of those around him.
• Choose Bigby’s actions carefully. Will you approach a situation calmly or unleash your inner rage? The way you act will determine how others respond to you.
• Set before the events seen in the first issue of the comics – you don’t have to know the characters or the world to play!
