2019 BAFTA Video Games Award Nominations Announced

The 2019 BAFTA Games Awards nominations have been announced.

Highlights include 10 nominations for 'God of War', Six nominations each for 'Red Dead Redemption 2', 'Return of the Obra Dinn' and 'Florence', and Five nominations for 'Celeste', including Game Beyond Entertainment.

The award winners will be announced at a special ceremony, hosted by Dara O’Briain, on Thursday 4 April at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on London’s Southbank and will be live streamed on all major social, online and gaming platforms: www.bafta.org/games/howtowatch.

'Animal Boys' by Mayka Yamamoto, reflects on her childhood and explores ideas of natural instinct and anxieties, related to growing up, preferring to leave her “animal boys” (children dressed like animals) and enigmatic expressions against soft, pale backgrounds, a mystery to her viewers.

'Tales Best Left Untold' by Travis Lampe, is inspired by storybook tales that you heard as a child, 'improving' the old tales with the addition of way more punching and quite a bit more booze.
