Cool Art: 'I'm Here To Rescue You' Variant Editions by Mark Englert

Dark Ink Art will be having a timed release of Mark Englert's 'Star Wars' inspired 'I’m Here to Rescue You' with two variant editions: 'Tatooine' and 'Endor.

The timed release begins at 10am PDT Sunday May 25 and ends Wednesday May 28 at 3pm PDT. The edition size will be determined by the number of prints ordered. Prints are 12" x 36" and will be signed and numbered and cost $50.

Generation Gallery, based in the UK, will also be participating in this timed release for international customers.

As an added bonus, anyone buying one of these prints from Dark Ink will have a chance to receive a randomly inserted golden ticket with their order.

There will be two golden tickets shipped at random: One golden ticket winner will receive brand new original artwork from Mark Englert. The other golden ticket will receive a print created from the original artwork.

Cool Art: Hero Complex Gallery presents 'King Of Cult' Celebrating Roger Corman and Joe Dante

This Saturday, Hero Complex Gallery presents 'King Of Cult', celebrating legendary directors Roger Corman and Joe Dante.

HCG will also present a double-feature screening for both directors at The New Beverly Theater on Friday night, May 23, from 7.30pm featuring Joe Dante’s 'Matinee' (1993) and Roger Corman’s 'The Masque of the Red Death' (1964), and the exhibition opens on Saturday night, May 24 from 7pm at the HCG at 2020 South Robertson Blvd., Studio D, Los Angeles, CA 90034. Both directors will attend the screenings and the art show opening night, which will include a Q&A hosted by Dana Gould in between the film screenings and exclusive signing opportunities plus original props from their classic films will be on show at the art show as well.

The 49th Annual Nebula Award Winners Announced

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America have announced the winners for this year’s Nebula Awards, along with the Ray Bradbury and Andre Norton Awards.

Each year, the organization’s members vote on which stories they consider to be the best novel, novella, novelette, short story and Young Adult story in the genre, as well as the best outstanding dramatic presentation. The 49th Annual Nebula Awards Weekend were held May 15-18, 2014, in San Jose at the San Jose Marriott.
