Presented by the Visual Effects Society, the winners of the 12th Annual VES Awards were announced yesterday in Los Angeles. The big winners on the night were 'Gravity' with six awards and 'Frozen' with four.
The award recognizes outstanding visual effects work across a broad spectrum of the entertainment industry including film, animation, television, commercials and video games.
In addition to the awards, director Alfonso Cuarón was honoured with the VES Visionary Award (presented by Sandra Bullock) and Academy Award winning visual effects pioneer John Dykstra with the Lifetime Achievement Award (presented by Douglas Trumbull).
