Corey Helford Gallery presents 'Not A Flower Alone', a two-person art exhibition from
Kristen Liu-Wong and
Jillian Evelyn.
The show features new paintings from each that attempt to reflect the human experience utilizing flowers, showcasing Evelyn's vibrant abstraction paintings, partnered with the candy colours, heavy patterning, and tight compositions you see in Lui-Wong's art, which draws inspiration from American folk art, cartoons she watched as a kid, architecture and
floriography (the language of flowers).
The opening reception is on Saturday September 21 from 7pm-11pm PT at
Corey Helford Gallery, 571 S Anderson Street (Enter on Willow Street), Los Angeles, CA 90033 in
Gallery 2, alongside a solo show from Ian Francis called 'The Call of the Void', in the
Main Gallery and a solo exhibition from Kai and Sunny, entitled 'In the Drift', in
Gallery 3.
The exhibition will be on view through October 26 2019.
