Corey Helford Gallery presents 'Despite The Fantasy', a solo art exhibition by Nicole Gordon, showcasing 14 new paintings, all of them oil on canvas, varying in size (largest being 5' x 7' and smallest being 12" x 12"), featuring landscapes that lean on the whimsical and somewhat grim, in an expression of beauty met with the horrors of real-world change and transformation. She describes her work as a combination of fantasy with darker truths: her use of bright colours and out-of-place objects create an imaginative view of reality.
The opening reception is on Saturday November 2 from 7pm-11pm PT at Corey Helford Gallery, 571 S Anderson Street (Enter on Willow Street), Los Angeles, CA 90033 in the Gallery 2, alongside a twin solo show from Miho Hirano titled 'Recollection' and 'Relazioni Pericolose' by Nicoletta Ciccoli in Gallery 3 and a solo show from Handiedan, entitled 'Torus', in the Main Gallery.
The exhibition will be on view through December 7 2019.
