2014 VES Awards Winners Announced
Presented by the Visual Effects Society, the winners of the 12th Annual VES Awards were announced yesterday in Los Angeles. The big winners on the night were 'Gravity' with six awards and 'Frozen' with four.
The award recognizes outstanding visual effects work across a broad spectrum of the entertainment industry including film, animation, television, commercials and video games.
In addition to the awards, director Alfonso Cuarón was honoured with the VES Visionary Award (presented by Sandra Bullock) and Academy Award winning visual effects pioneer John Dykstra with the Lifetime Achievement Award (presented by Douglas Trumbull).

Check out the preview covers below by P Craig Russell of the two-part graphic novel adaptation of 'The Graveyard Book', Neil Gaiman’s award-winning 2008 children’s novel.
Each chapter of the graphic novel will also be illustrated by different artists. Volume 1 will feature Kevin Nowlan, Tony Harris, Scott Hampton, Galen Showman, Jill Thompson and Stephen B Scott, with David Lafuente, Scott Hampton, Kevin Nowlan and Galen Showman illustrating the second volume.
'The Graveyard Book: Volume 1' will be released on July 29, and the second on September 30.

2014 BAFTA Games Awards Nominations Announced
Two of last year's biggest games, Naughty Dog's 'The Last Of Us' and Rockstar's 'Grand Theft Auto V' are the games with the most nominations for this year's BAFTA Games awards, with ten and nine nods respectively, including the prestigious 'Best Game' category.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday March 14.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Satellite 4 Eastercon convention the Crown Plaza Hotel, Glasgow Sunday 20th April 2014. BSFA Prize-winners will receive a coveted BSFA trophy. Also in the ceremony will be the annual James White Award announcing its short story competition winner.

New 'Star Wars Rebels' Propaganda Posters
For those looking forward to the new 'Star Wars' universe Disney and Lucasfilm seem to be setting up with 'Episode VII' and the 'Star Wars Rebels' animated series, they have now teased us with a new set of propaganda style posters for the new animated series.
With this new animated series being set between the Prequel and Original trilogies, it definitely looks like they are using the classic designs from the Original trilogy, going by these posters.
