Cool Art: NECA Toys Packaging Art Prints by Jason Edmiston

Jason Edmiston, is releasing a series of prints that were originally created as toy packaging art for NECA Toys.

They are 13" x 13" prints on fine art, acid-free paper, in signed and numbered limited editions of 100, and cost $40 each.

They go on sale Thursday July 23, at 12 noon, EST.

Cool Art: Mondo Prints From SDCC by Jock, Mike Mitchell & Guy Davis On Sale

Mondo will be releasing their remaining prints from this year's San Diego Comic Con.

They go on sale at a random time on Thursday July 23. Follow them on Twitter @MondoNews for the on sale announcement.

Cool Art: 'The Caped Crusader' by Dave Perillo

'The Caped Crusader' by Dave Perillo, is a new officially licensed 'Batman' print from Geek-Art.net and French Paper Art Club, and part of their 'One Year Of Batman' series, celebrating 75 years of the Caped Crusader.

The print is also in celebration of the opening of the French Paper Gallery at 51 Rue Volta, 75003, Métro Temple, Paris, France on Thursday July 23 and will be available exclusively at the opening.

They are 18" x 24" 5 colour screenprints, with the regular edition in a limited edition of 150 and the variant in a limited edition of 75. They will go on sale Wednesday July 29 at a random time on the French Paper Art Club website.

Cool Art: 'Elements' Print Series by Tom Bagshaw

'Elements' is a new limited edition print series by Tom Bagshaw.

The five portraits are based around the 5 Elements symbolized by the pentacle - 'Air', 'Water', 'Fire', 'Earth' and 'Spirit (or Aether)' along with a sixth painting, 'Sanctus Deus', which centres around the Alchemical ideologies which tie the elements together.

They're available as five 12" x 16” framed prints (approx 17.5" x 21.25” including frame) on heavy cotton rag stock, mounted on board, hand embellished with acrylic, varnished and framed and come with one of the limited edition Sanctus Deus prints as a complimentary gift. Each is titled, stamped and signed on the reverse. The 'Sanctus Deus' prints are numbered, signed and embossed. The back of the framed works is stamped with the 'Elements' series design, a spot of gold denoting its position in the pentacle. The frames are 3" wide, black umber and gilt with a scoop profile. They cost £550.

There is also a limited edition collectors box set. The box sets are in a limited edition of 25, and each contains a set of the 5 prints (including a margin for framing) on heavy cotton rag stock. Five of the 'Sanctus Deus' prints will be placed in 5 randomly selected boxsets. Each presentation box is covered in Ebony textured paper, foil blocked in silver, hand numbered and will cost £150.

'Next Afternoon' by Hueman, is a new limited edition print release from 1xRun, and is part of the 'Sea Walls Cozumel 2015 Featured Artists' series, with proceeds from the print release going toward supporting Pangea Seed's 'Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans' second annual summer festival in Cozumel, Mexico.

PangeaSeed’s 'Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans' is the first movement of its kind helping to save our seas via public art and activism (ARTivism). The festival will feature 30 world-renowned contemporary artists from across the globe, collaborating to bring vital ocean environmental issues into the spotlight. The festival’s educational workshops will engage local youth to learn more about critical marine environmental issues affecting their home island, and what they can do to help save our seas. 'Sea Walls' aims to educate and inspire individuals and communities to protect the planet’s most important ecosystem: the ocean.

Cool Art: 'The Lost Boys' by Mo at Lastleaf

'The Lost Boys' by Mo at Lastleaf, is a new limited edition print from the Cult Cinema Sunday, commissioned for a screening of the film on Sunday July 19 at Hull's Fruitspace Cinema.

It's a 24" x 36" 3 colour screenprint on Cougar Smooth White 100# cover, in a limited edition of 50 and costs £25.

30 prints will be available at the screening, and any remaining prints will be available to buy (at a higher price than at the screening) on the Cult Cinema webstore on Monday July 20 at 6pm UK. A further 20 will be available from the Lastleaf website on Monday July 20.


Cool Art: Cotton Candy Machine presents 'Pit Of The Id' by Glenn Barr

Cotton Candy Machine presents 'Pit Of The Id', an art show featuring works by Glenn Barr.

Glenn's art features surreal creatures, spectres and tragic characters that live in a seedy universe, drenched in the grit and haze of a post-apocalyptic urban dreamscape. With a nod to old master painting, pulp art, comics and animation, his paintings are mesmerizing in their narrative complexities and technical depth.

The show is on from Friday July 17 at Cotton Candy Machine, 235 South 1st Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211 and the exhibition will be on display until August 9.
