2017 Will Eisner Comic Industry Award Nominees Announced

The nominees for the 2017 Annual Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, given for creative achievement in American comic books, often referred to as the Comics Industry's equivalent of the Oscar Awards, have been announced.

The nominees, chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of judges, reflect the wide range of material being published in comics and graphic novel form today, from superheroes, to nursery rhymes and high school angst and pulp fiction.

The awards will be presented in a special ceremony during this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
